Current statistics show that one in every ten hard drives fail each year. The cost of recovering a failed hard drive can exceed $7,500, and success is never guaranteed. So that this project helps to insurance of our computer data. This project provides simple and safe way to back up all the important stuff on our computer. A copy of our data is stored in a secure, remote location for safekeeping, so that in the event of disaster our data is still retrievable.
Network Assistant - Network Assistant is a tool for designing, configuring and maintaing firewall, QOS, and related network services.
SPMonitor - The SPMonitor will be a web based application with a document management system, search facility, and intuitive features for project managers to enter values related to their projects. The application should be able to analyze, process and predict these values, and provide an organizational trend pattern in a graphical representation. The following are 3 building blocks of SPMonitor: -The documents repository that houses QMS (Quality Management System) , software process and knowledge base documents (SPMonitor Docs). -Relational databases that store software process and knowledge base related data such as metrics, risk values, etc (SPMonitor Data). -A web-based frontend application that provides a friendly and intuitive user interface and access to the above two elements (SPMonitor Web). The primary high level requirements of the system is generalized as: 1.SPMonitor Web will manage repository that houses Quality Management System(QMS), software process and knowledge base documents (SPMonitor Docs). 2.SPMonitor Web will provide easy user interfaces to post and upload relevant project data. 3.SPMonitor Web will collect different metrics from the project management tools and project database. 4.With regards to software process metrics, SPMonitor will generate a period over period project report and yearly organizational norms report and for metrics trend analysis. 5.SPMonitor will assist to improve software process quality and reduce risk. 6.With regards to metrics trends, SPMonitor will predict effort needed to complete the project .

Email Processor - CORVID is software that can act intelligently to help email client users manage their inbox through personalization and learning. Particularly, email client users can use it for filtering, classification and summarization of emails. CORVID tracks user’s behaviors to incoming mails and user’s feedback over CORVID actions and updates knowledgebase. Based on this knowledgebase, CORVID filters and classifies the emails. It generates summary of email threads using machine linguistic and learning techniques for summarization.
Devanagari OCR System - "An Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system to recognize a wide variety of fonts in Devanagari Script. Though a multitude of products are available for character recognition in Roman script, very few, if any, are available for Devanagari. Whatever work has been done, it has mostly been a part of some academic project and hence they are not useful for any practical application. The major areas of application of Devanagari character recognition would be in following areas: 1. Digitizing existing government documents for easy and efficient storage and retrieval: This single use of a Devanagari OCR can bring about positive, dramatic changes to the way Government as well as Non-government offices function. LIVE Event Broadcast using peer to peer - The System broadcasts live or real time data like audio or video using peer to peer. This aims at distributing the bandwidth requirements for distributing real time information to client system. Currently, client-server model is not feasible for this job as this concentrates maximum bandwidth on server resulting to bottleneck. As there is limit to server bandwidth, this quickly degrades the server performance. Also, as data is same they could be very easily shared. This is not considered by client-server model. Suppose clients A and B in pokhara are viewing Youtube streaming video Z. As the video viewed is same both request same. This results to repetition of steaming leading to greater network traffic. This project removes the server overhead by allowing peer computers (clients) to share real time data between them without each actually streaming it from server. So, only some of the peers get data from server while rest of them shares it. As in previous case, B could actually take data from A instead of waiting for Youtube server (from US) to stream it. This results not only in server bottleneck reduction but also in faster performance as A and B are both in same city and are faster than getting from server.
