LIVE Event Broadcast using peer to peer - The System broadcasts live or real time data like audio or video using peer to peer. This aims at distributing the bandwidth requirements for distributing real time information to client system. Currently, client-server model is not feasible for this job as this concentrates maximum bandwidth on server resulting to bottleneck. As there is limit to server bandwidth, this quickly degrades the server performance. Also, as data is same they could be very easily shared. This is not considered by client-server model. Suppose clients A and B in pokhara are viewing Youtube streaming video Z. As the video viewed is same both request same. This results to repetition of steaming leading to greater network traffic. This project removes the server overhead by allowing peer computers (clients) to share real time data between them without each actually streaming it from server. So, only some of the peers get data from server while rest of them shares it. As in previous case, B could actually take data from A instead of waiting for Youtube server (from US) to stream it. This results not only in server bottleneck reduction but also in faster performance as A and B are both in same city and are faster than getting from server.

Marine's ban Facebook,Twitter and Myspace
The DoD review will address the security risks of social networking sites, as well as the value they provide in helping the agency communicate, according to statements posted to the agency's Web site. A new policy could be approved by October.
A few choice quotes from the Marine Corps order:
• “These internet sites in general are a proven haven for malicious actors and content and are particularly high risk due to information exposure, user generated content and targeting by adversaries…”
• “The very nature of SNS [social network sites] creates a larger attack and exploitation window, exposes unnecessary information to adversaries and provides an easy conduit for information leakage that puts OPSEC [operational security], COMSEC [communications security], [and] personnel… at an elevated risk of compromise.”
Facebook, MySpace and Twitter have been constant targets for malware attacks that exploit the trusted nature of social networks to lure users into clicking on links to malicious sites.
